What steps can i take to try and diagnose the problem to have it fixed. It stopped working when i tried to open it. Malfunction light is flashing, i checked fuse it looks good.

The convertible top gets stuck half way open. At that point the open/close switch stops operating. To close it, there is a manual process that takes about half hour to do each time and is very complicated. I've taken this car in for service for this same problem 3 times and the Audi dealership as not fixed it yet.
