Apparently stored on a SD card, is there any way you can update it as obviously there will have been changes since then or will I be getting stung by the Vauxhall dealer for an up to date SD card?

    If you are asking if there is any way to avoid paying the RRP for a Vauxhall product, I would say No. If you want a sat nav upgrade you'd have to go to the dealer, just like if you wanted to watch a new film or listen to a new record, you would have to go to the cinema or record shop.

    I see, well I have a decent Garmin so I may just leave it. I haven't collected it yet so I will see what it is like when I do.

    Though best be sitting down when you select your model, year and sat nav type !
    I've updated the sat nav in my Golf at least twice and it didn't cost a penny, other than my time waiting for it to download over t'interweb and then copying the files to the SD card.

    You can buy the SD card online direct from Vauxhall .. pricey though. NAVI 600 GB/Ireland V.2016/17 Part number T1000-24836O £79 or NAVI 900 Europe 2016/17 Part number T1000-24829O £149. Both plus £5 shipping.
    Here's an idea though if you fancy it. Join the Insignia Drivers UK Forum and put your name down for the meet at Rother Valley Country Park on Sunday 23rd April. You might get the NAVI update for nowt. I found out by searching the forum and that found this thread; the link to put your name down is in Post 10.

Hi folks,
Just got the car a few days ago and still playing around with it all, however I can't seem to find out how to check maps version and if a new one is available or not...and how to update it if I'm running old maps?
System tells me I have the following details:
Software: 84096811
Gracenote: 23199236. (don't know what gracenote even is?)
Map: 84009389
Onstar just passes me through to Vauxhall, then I get passed from pillar to post with them..dealer I got the car from tells me to phone again next week when a bloke is back from holiday.
